what will you do today?

Brendan Walsh

i will bike to the beach and feed my arms to bull sharks

i will crack thick coconuts with my skull

i will seize the means of production at a tiki bar and get hammered

i will pour a gallon of gasoline down my throat and burp on candles

i will rent a jetski and pretend it’s a vicious dolphin

i will walk to the bahamas on the backs of loggerheads

i will coat my tongue in sand and eat tanker smog

i will lie in bed and try not to cry

i will build a luxury cruise ship of palm fronds and fish skeletons

i will liquidate my assets and drink them

i will sink the yachts that slow traffic over the intracoastal

i will sink the mansions that house the yachts along the intracoastal

i will sink into the soft sea

i will fit a dozen jelly doughnuts in my mouth

i will sit in the sand and drink some water

some cold, clean water from the kitchen faucet
